There is a saying that goes, “happy wife, happy life” We believe it should say “Happy child, happy parent.”. Research conducted by Sociologist Mario Small from the University of Chicago suggests that the parents who take advantage of childcare are in the process building “ social capital”, which can be a great thing more so for new parents.
In his research Small found that there are some psychological, social and even financial rewards for mothers who use daycare.
It is norm for parents when searching for a Daycare to have their focus on that, of their children’s wellbeing, the question then becomes what if a parents’ life becomes better by using a daycare instead of a babysitter?
Long-lasting Friendships
The building of common friendships among the mothers was one of the bigger benefits that Small found in his research. Small is heard as admitting to the assumption that one would assume that mothers within the daycare setup would be prone to superficial friendships. What Small found to be surprising was the fact that many of these mothers made strong friendships to the extent that they were now referring to each other as family. This would also entail them doing and planning activities together outside of the facility.
There were also the “Hi and bye” relationships described as “compartmentally strong friendships,” as Small calls them, extended mothers’ support systems, even though they rarely resulted in meetings outside the center.
Contentment
There is always that peace that is in knowing that someone will be there to take care of your children. Daycare eliminates the extra stress of wondering if the babysitter will call in sick or has a fender bender! When you choose a quality Orlando Daycare, you personally meet the people who will be caring for your child(ren) and you get to know them similarly to how one gets to know their babysitter.
Assured of Educational and Social Skills
The parents will always know that there will always be someone to tend to their child(ren)’s needs and that they will be trained by certified professionals who will always strive to provide an educational and stimulating environment for them.
Along with social opportunities to interact and play with other children, you can help them to learn about the world around them and discuss how to process emotions and social situations.
At Kids Christian Academy, we have many Full-Time and Part-Time childcare options for you to choose from that center around your schedule. You can rest easy knowing that your child will have the best attention, food, and activities they need to grow and flourish.
